SPECIAL EVENT NOTICE

The Broadway Ultra Society
presents the 2013 Ted Corbitt 24-Hour Run

(Starting at 10am on Saturday, October 5th at Juniper Valley Park in Middle Village, Queens)
Background information from the Race Director (Richie):
"The featured event of the BUS and New York Ultra Running calendar for 2013 will be the Ted Corbitt 24-Hour Run. You may recall that Ted set the 24-hour American Record in England in 1973. BUS has celebrated the occasion by conducting 24-hour runs in 1983, 1993, and 2003. It would be only natural to pay homage for the 40th anniversary.

The race site has now been confirmed for the Juniper Valley Park site used in our 2008 24-hour event. So hold the dates of October 5th and 6th. I greatly hope you will be part of the pageantry as a participant or as a volunteer."

The race start will be at 10am on Saturday, October 5th. The race loop will be on a safe, well-lit 1.1982 mile (certified) circuit around the perimeter of the Park. There will be plenty of support (aka food & drink) on every loop.

The race started at around 10am, after a moving opening ceremony by Race Director (Rich Innamorato) and featuring the Sri Chinmoy Marathon Team, with 49 runners starting off on their 24 hour trek. Check out the latest updated results, compiled after extensive review by the Race Director and his staff.
