 a New York Ultra Running Grand Prix event

COURSE:  1.2-mile loop on macadam footpaths; mainly flat with one significant rise.  
 
CHECK-IN:  Register and pick up race packet at the "Brennan Fieldhouse" starting at 8:30 A.M.  Fieldhouse is located on 71st Street  
adjacent to Juniper Blvd South and Lutheran Avenue.  
 
AUTO DIRECTIONS:    
From Manhattan: Midtown Tunnel to Long Island Expressway (I495). Go 1.1 miles from Toll Plaza & stay to the right. Look for the
following exit signage: "LaGuardia Airport-Maurice Ave 17W-E" and "Bklyn Qns Expy Staten Island-Bronx". Take that exit & proceed
to middle lane. Follow sign "Alt 495 - Maurice Ave" for about .6 miles to Expressway lower level. Go another .7 miles to Maurice Avenue exit.
(From Brooklyn:) Eastbound on Brooklyn Queens Expressway to Long Island Expressway east exit. Go .7 miles to Maurice Avenue exit.)
 
From Maurice Avenue exit: Go about a mile on LIE service road to RIGHT at 4th traffic right onto 69th Street. Go .8 miles & turn LEFT at 
4th traffic light onto Juniper Blvd South. Go then .2 miles to 71st Street & Park.  
 
From Long Island & junctions with Grand Central Pkwy & Van Wyck Expy: Long Island Expressway west. Go about a mile after World 
Fairgrounds & stay to right. Take Exit 19 "Rockaways - 69 St - Grand Ave; Queens Blvd - Woodhaven Blvd". Exit is like a long frontage road.
Go 1.4 miles and exit at "69 St - Grand Ave" and then proceed 1/2 mile to LEFT onto 69th Street. Go .9 miles & turn LEFT at 5th
traffic light onto Juniper Blvd South. Go then .2 miles to 71st Street & Park.  
 
TRANSIT DIRECTIONS:  "M" subway to "Middle Village-Metropolitan Ave" station.  About .6 mile walk to Park  
Walk east (away from mall) on Metropolitan Avenue for one block to LEFT onto 69th Street. Then, walk 3 blocks to RIGHT onto 
Juniper Blvd. South.  Walk 4 blocks to LEFT onto 71st Street and Juniper Valley Park.  
 
LODGING:  Call 212-496-3099 for more information.  
 
FACILITIES: Try to come dressed to run.  But there are rest room facilities at the Brennan Fieldhouse throughout the event.  
 
AID STATION:  One station per loop providing water, Gatorade, defizzed cola, food items and medical supplies.  
 
RACE RULES:  You must wear a colored BIB# on the front and the other BIB# on the back AT ALL TIMES.  Both bib numbers
must be visible to the scoring station and cannot be altered in any way.  All other USATF rules apply.  
 
AWARDS:  Male & Female Winners - Ted Corbitt Cup  
Special Awards - To any runner who completes 100 miles or more.  
Other Awards - To any runner who completes 100 kilometers or more.  
 
POST RACE:  Race Awards will be distributed adjacent to the Brennan Fieldhouse and refreshments will be served.  
 
ENTRY PROCEDURE:  $90.00 for 2008 BUS Members; $120.00 for non-BUS Members;  NO POST ENTRY  
Entries must be RECEIVED by Wednesday, October 1, 2008
